great software! tried burning cd's using "roxio" and my cd's kept burning incorrectly, but when i used "usefulutils discs studio" it burned properly so the product is great and i would recommend it to anyone!

When I downloaded this I was searching for a CDG burning program. This one came up with the others so I downloaded it. It was not what I was looking for but it is a good program. It was really easy to use and I made an ISO with it just to test it out. I believe I'll keep it even though I wasn't looking for this kind of program. I highly recommend this as making an ISO is very useful, great for making backups!

Impossible to Evaluate It was impossible for me to evaluate this software, as when I attempted to use it to recover one 350 Mb file, the evaluation version wouldn't do it - it produced a message about only being capable of recovering a limited number of files of limited size.I don't know about everyone else, but all the DVDs I have are 4.7 Gb in size - and the FOB files typically are 1 Gb or larger. Even a medium quality AVI movie is between 350 and 700 Mb. An evaluation version that won't allow the evaluator to recover a standard DVD file isn't much good for ...

Review of DVD data Rescue Not possible to give accurate feedback or rating, application does not alow you to save recovered files to hdd in trial period, so you cannot rate it as you are not able to know if it is going to do what you require it to do! Basicaly, you have to buy it first to "test it's full capabilities and functionality.

Successful recovery I had a DVD data disk that I didn't "close" properly after I was done backing up my data. I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled my operating system. when I went to copy my data back from my dvd, my system couldn't read the dvd. I downloaded DVD Data Rescue and it read and recovered all my data.

Didn`t recover drag to disk files Unfortunately your software did not recover the corrupted files on the DVD. I had used drag to disk from Roxio EZMedia Creator 8 to make the DVD. I also tried three other software programs from other companies, as well as yours, and none would recover the data. I will not be using that feature from Roxio again it's too dangerous and costly because of the probability for data to be totally lost and not recoverable.

Unable to detect disk Unless there is someway to "trick" the operating system to recognize that there is a disc in the drive, you are unable to use the program to retrieve files. The disc was badly scratched and evidently intermittently undetectable. (It was detected once and the program started to read files, but when the scan was cancelled an the disc re-inserted it wouldn't detect.) Otherwise, it looks like it would be an excellent program, unfortunately not useful to me.

Installing is easy.Using it also.Converting didn't work... It created an audio file on my laptop instead of a cd image of a game...????

I was in the middle of trying to download a game. Alcahol, and Daemon didn't work, but Phantom did. thank you Phantom!

Does what it says on the tin Download simple; installation simple. Didn't bother with the recommended reboot at the end of installation (on XP/SP2); the virtual CD was already showing in Windows Explorer. Used the menu to connect to a 3.5Gb DVD ISO image, recognised instantly and all worked OK. It just works - the way I like things to be! :-)

Phantom CD - Does what it says on the tin! It appears to do what it says on the tin and works, which is a great plus these days.Although I haven't used it much yet, it allowed me to mount a large .iso image by right clicking the image in explorer and mounting it as a drive. I was then able to treat the files just like a CD and extract the files that I needed without having to burn the CD first.It's just what I was looking for.Thanks.
